A Best of the Rest of Lana Del Rey Part 1

The Moon has put together a first playlist on Ubend. Appropriately it is a best of non album material from the ever generous Miss Grant. Many are available via Grooveshark but not all. It does not feature any tracks from her May Jailer or Lizzy Grant albums. Or any tracks from the upcoming Born to Die Paradise Edition which will presumably be available via Spotify and Deezer. On this there will be a new version of one of her finest songs “Yayo” from her Lizzy Grant/Nevada album

It does contain alternative stripped down versions of “Blue Jeans” and “For K Part 2” the original and best version of “Diet Mtn Dew” and the original “Lolita” which was ruined on the Born to Die Deluxe Edition.

It is all over the place stylistically from balladry like “Serial Killer” that would fit well into and improve Born to Die, to county tinged rock or folk like “Velvet Crowbar”and “Elvis”, the modern pop of “Paradise” and “Kinda Outta Luck”, the hip hop lite of “Hundred Dollar Bill”, the May Jailer folk siren like “A Star for Nick”, the retro pop of “Boarding School”, the Bond theme like (one for Dame Shirley Bassey?) “Hollywood's Dead” and the full on dance that is “Daddy Issues (feat. Aaron Lacrate)” This is what makes her great to the Moon (but is probably a problem for marketing types) along with the songs that shine through.

Update and more Lana Del Rey on the Moon - More May Jailer

A Best of the Rest of Lana Del Rey Parts 1 & 2 have  been edited to be a bit more consistent and to not include any of the tracks in  Sparkle Jump Queen, No Kung Foo and More May Jailer

Part 1 also now has the Lizzy Grant/Nevada added to the end.

MOON ADVERT: Check out  A Best of the Rest of Lana Del Rey Part 4

This playlist was originally on Ubend, but soon lost tracks, then it was on Grooveshark, but that sadly expired, then Soundcloud, but that also started to lose the odd track. So now it is exclusive to The Moon via the BTNT player as are A Best of the Rest of Lana Del Rey  Part 2 and  Part 3

It should work on PC, Tablet or Mobile. It does not expand to show all 28 tracks but you can scroll through them and click on each track to play them and the bottom left had box will play and pause the playlist. If you double click on the timer bar it will FW or RW.
