Moon Film Review: The Death of Satire..

Your Cultural Correspondent (Film) thinks the 'Death of Stalin' was a very poor film. If satire has to be played for laughs, then it is surely not satire? And stringing together a script from assorted swear words does justice neither to the talents of the players, who delivered their sh*t v well, naturally, nor to the subject matter, which might have benefitted from a straighter interpretation.

Perhaps the view of Your Cultural Correspondent (Film) was coloured by the fact that while walking to the cinema they were listening to Mr Frankie Howerd, one of history's most sublime satirists. How strange to hear him devote so much time 'At the Establishment' and 'At the BBC' to the then Common Market.
